  violin

Dorothea has been playing the violin since a tiny tot, & the reels effortlessly unravel
  themselves under those nimble fingers.

She entered this world east of the iron curtain 20 years before it
fell. Growing up there provided her with an exceptional drive and
talent for invention and improvisation which naturally finds its
  expression through her music.

The violin has been her first and foremost instrument - "it is very
old", she says, and "the idea is to lift the veil and make her sing.”
Dorothea also plays recorder and piano, and composes her
  own music.

In the rare moments when Dorothea is not involved with music, she enjoys sunshine and
  gardening, family and philosophical reading.
